Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines and database solutions on Google Cloud Platform.
- Develop efficient SQL transformations, reporting code, relational data models, and ETL processes.
- Build and optimize data models using dbt and use BigQuery as the primary data platform.
- Use Apache Airflow for workflow orchestration and optimize database performance and query execution.
- Develop cloud-native solutions, monitor data quality, and support deployment and release activities.
- Perform unit testing and support integration testing.
- Collaborate with Product Owners, Data Engineers, Architects, Business Analysts, and business experts.
- Participate in agile ceremonies and contribute to technical design, architecture discussions, code reviews, and continuous improvement.
Requirements
- Strong software development experience focused on database development.
- Excellent SQL programming skills and knowledge of relational database design and data modeling.
- Hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform and strong knowledge of BigQuery.
- Experience with dbt, Apache Airflow, Git, ETL pipelines, REST APIs, and data integration concepts.
- Experience with CI/CD concepts and DevOps practices.
- Familiarity with agile software development using Scrum and/or SAFe.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, collaboration, ownership, and independent-working skills.
- German language skills are advantageous.
- Experience with AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot is advantageous.
- Experience integrating AI and machine learning capabilities, or knowledge of Generative AI, LLMs, RAG, and AI-powered data engineering, is advantageous.
- Telecommunications industry experience is advantageous.
