Base Salary
$144k - $194k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design and develop software systems with demanding functional and non-functional requirements.
- Build platforms for formal verification, network simulation and emulation, and automated testing of network changes.
- Create self-service safety guardrails that network teams can adopt and use independently.
- Partner with network engineers, applied scientists, and internal customers to understand problems and deliver solutions.
- Generate technical designs and carry projects through implementation, validation, and operations.
- Participate as a hands-on technical lead across the full software development lifecycle.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of non-internship professional software development experience.
- At least 2 years of experience designing or architecting new and existing systems, including design patterns, reliability, and scaling.
- At least 1 year of software development engineer or related occupational experience.
- At least 1 year of experience designing and developing large-scale, multi-tiered, multi-threaded, embedded, or distributed software applications, tools, systems, and services using C#, C++, Java, or Perl.
- At least 1 year of object-oriented design experience.
- Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in computer science, engineering, mathematics, or a related field.
- Experience programming with at least one software programming language.
- Preferred: at least 3 years of full software development lifecycle experience, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations.
- Preferred: bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent.
