Responsibilities
- Design and implement secure AWS cloud architectures meeting enterprise security, availability, and performance requirements.
- Maintain PCI-DSS-aligned controls and harden compute, data, storage, network, and IAM infrastructure.
- Implement compliance guardrails, auditing, continuous monitoring, patching, vulnerability management, and threat exposure reduction.
- Develop runtime threat detection and alerting frameworks using SIEM/SOAR, IDS, and CSPM capabilities.
- Conduct compromise assessments, respond to security incidents, lead root cause analysis, and serve as the primary security escalation point.
- Integrate security tooling into CI/CD workflows, automate policies with Terraform, CloudFormation, and policy-as-code, and build remediation playbooks.
- Govern IAM, least-privilege, zero-trust access, and secrets management using tools such as Vault and KMS.
- Lead disaster recovery planning and execution with defined RTO/RPO targets.
- Improve cloud security monitoring, vulnerability reduction, incident response times, uptime, cost efficiency, and deployment automation.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Cybersecurity, or equivalent experience is required.
- Master’s degree in Cybersecurity or Cloud Security is preferred.
- 4–6 years of experience in cloud engineering or cloud security roles.
- Hands-on experience securing AWS platforms at scale.
- Experience in regulated or compliance-heavy environments such as fintech, banking, or regtech is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of CIS, NIST, and PCI-DSS cloud security frameworks.
- Expertise with Terraform and CloudFormation, plus hands-on Kubernetes security experience with EKS.
- Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, EKS, or GKE container security.
- Experience with cloud-native security tools including GuardDuty, Security Hub, GCP SCC, Prisma, and Wiz.
- Strong knowledge of ELK, Prometheus, and Grafana monitoring and logging stacks.
- Proficiency in Python, Go, or Java for security automation.
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, communication, ownership, collaboration, and adaptability skills.
