Responsibilities
- Enhance and refine the Android mobile trading platform.
- Develop and deploy features using Kotlin, including Compose and Kotlin flows.
- Maintain and contribute to Java portions of the mobile codebase.
- Participate in code reviews, refinement sessions, engineering discussions, and weekly codebase planning meetings.
- Collaborate with product idea owners, designers, and developers to turn concepts into working features.
- Contribute to backend-for-frontend components and data structure and format decisions.
- Lead technical explorations, prototypes, and initiatives that improve the developer experience.
- Share technical expertise and propose improvements across the engineering platform.
Requirements
- 4+ years of experience in Android software development.
- Mastery of Kotlin and Java and deep understanding of the Android framework.
- Strong knowledge of object-oriented programming, functional programming, SOLID principles, data structures, and multithreading in Android.
- Experience with RxJava, RxKotlin, Kotlin Coroutines, and the tradeoffs between reactive and imperative programming.
- Extensive knowledge of Android architecture components including LiveData, ViewModel, and Navigation.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science or a closely related technical field.
- English proficiency at B2 level or above.
- Financial, brokerage, or exchange-related software experience is a plus.
- Knowledge of Android accessibility best practices, snapshot testing, backend Java, dependency injection, networking, client-server communication, Gradle, TeamCity, and user interface and usability design is a plus.
- Experience with Dagger 2, Hilt, or another dependency-injection tool is a plus.
