Snr. Lead Software Engineer - Data Platforms

- Lead a squad of engineers by providing technical guidance, coaching, and fostering a collaborative team environment.
- Drive development and enhancement of the Fusion firmwide data catalogue system for global data access.
- Own technical decisions and influence product design, application functionality, and data-platform solutions.
- Apply system design, application development, testing, automation, and operational-stability practices.
- Serve as a subject matter expert in data platforms and related technologies.
- Implement approved engineering frameworks, tools, practices, and AI-assisted development capabilities.
- Promote responsible and compliant use of AI-assisted software development, including secure handling of sensitive data.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to deliver solutions aligned with business needs.
- Support platform stability, governance, continuous improvement, diversity, inclusion, and respectful team culture.
Requirements
- Experience leading technical teams and managing stakeholders to deliver high-quality solutions.
- Hands-on expertise in system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.
- Advanced proficiency in one or more programming languages or technical disciplines such as cloud, AI, or ML.
- Ability to independently address design and functionality challenges.
- Experience with enterprise-authorized AI-assisted software development tools and responsible AI practices.
- Understanding of data modelling concepts and secure handling of sensitive data.
- High ownership, accountability, problem-solving ability, and technical leadership.
- Preferred experience with global data platforms or catalogue systems, including Fusion or similar technologies.
- Preferred experience running squads in agile environments and coaching engineers on compliant AI usage.
- Internal JPMorgan Chase experience and exposure to large, diverse engineering teams are advantageous.
