Base Salary
$131k - $237k/yr
Responsibilities
- Develop software for critical counter-UAS and missile defense solutions in a Linux environment.
- Develop software using C/C++ and Python throughout the software lifecycle.
- Work in a SAFe environment using Jira and GitLab.
- Collaborate with systems engineering, electrical engineering, test, and other multidisciplinary groups.
- Apply software best practices including peer reviews, automated testing, and documentation.
- Debug and troubleshoot software in a hardware-in-the-loop environment.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or an equivalent degree from an ABET-accredited university with 12+ years of experience, or a master’s degree with 10+ years of experience.
- Strong competency in at least C/C++ and Python.
- Experience with software engineering throughout the software lifecycle.
- Experience with peer reviews, automated testing, and document generation.
- Experience collaborating with multiple functional groups to create software products.
- Experience working in an Agile environment or equivalent.
- Experience using Jira and GitLab or equivalent tools.
- Experience developing within Qt IDE or equivalent.
- Experience developing in a Linux environment.
- Familiarity with troubleshooting and testing software in a hardware-in-the-loop environment.
- Must currently live in Huntsville, Alabama or be willing to relocate.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret security clearance.
- Preferred: experience with Buildroot, VMware, Wireshark, UDP/TCP network communications, CI/CD pipeline support, and DoD acquisition processes.

- Pay range is $131,300 to $237,350 annually.
