Responsibilities
- Support the development, maintenance, and improvement of CI/CD pipelines and software delivery tools.
- Assist with Infrastructure as Code used to provision and manage cloud environments.
- Support deployment and operation of containerized applications and microservices using Kubernetes, Docker, AWS EKS, and/or OpenShift.
- Develop and maintain automation scripts using Bash, Python, Groovy, or similar languages.
- Assist with application and microservice deployments across development, test, staging, and production environments.
- Troubleshoot application, configuration, deployment, and infrastructure issues with software development and DevOps engineers.
- Support the availability, reliability, and performance of production and non-production environments.
- Assist with incident, problem, and change management activities and participate in an on-call rotation as required.
- Monitor applications, infrastructure, servers, networks, and cloud services, and support monitoring, alerting, logging, and observability.
- Assist with operating system patching, security remediation, vulnerability management, environment upgrades, documentation, dashboards, and system health metrics.
Requirements
- 0–2 years of relevant DevOps, cloud engineering, systems engineering, software engineering, or IT infrastructure experience.
- Foundational understanding of CI/CD concepts and software deployment pipelines.
- Exposure to CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or GitLab CI.
- Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, AWS EKS, and/or OpenShift.
- Familiarity with AWS services such as EC2, VPC, IAM, CloudWatch, RDS, and/or EKS.
- Exposure to Infrastructure as Code technologies such as Terraform or CloudFormation.
- Experience or coursework involving Bash, Python, Groovy, or similar scripting languages.
- Familiarity with Linux environments, command-line tools, Git, monitoring, and logging technologies such as AWS CloudWatch, New Relic, or Splunk.
- Exposure to Java and/or Node.js web applications, including Spring Boot and React, is a plus.
- Basic understanding of networking, application infrastructure, and troubleshooting concepts.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills, with demonstrated willingness to learn.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field.
- Must be a US Citizen and able to obtain and maintain a clearance.
