Base Salary
$140k - $170k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain Python REST API services integrating CRM, payment, account-management, and internal data systems
- Diagnose and resolve production performance issues involving blocking I/O, connection handling, caching, and API latency under load
- Use asyncio to parallelize I/O-bound work while maintaining service throughput
- Implement and tune Redis or similar caching layers for high-throughput endpoints
- Build and maintain CRM integrations, including data queries and REST-based synchronization
- Deploy and operate serverless and containerized services in AWS or a similar cloud environment
- Use observability and APM tooling to trace requests, identify bottlenecks, and validate production fixes
- Write clean, tested, maintainable code with separated API, business-logic, and infrastructure layers
- Participate in rotating on-call and production support, including alert triage and incident prevention
- Collaborate with engineering, DevOps/SRE, and product stakeholders on integration work
Requirements
- Strong professional experience with Python, including asynchronous programming and REST API development and maintenance
- Experience moving, synchronizing, and reconciling data across services, including handling failures, retries, and consistency issues
- Understanding of HTTP and API design, including pagination, timeouts, rate limiting, caching, and live-service performance debugging
- Experience with a key-value or caching data store, with Redis experience preferred
- Experience with at least one major cloud provider, preferably AWS, including serverless functions or containerized services
- Ability to use logs and distributed traces to debug systems issues
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Twilio or similar telephony/IVR platform experience is preferred
- Salesforce integration experience, including SOQL, Apex, or REST APIs, is preferred
- Familiarity with APM and observability platforms such as Dynatrace, Datadog, or New Relic, and distributed tracing or structured logging, is preferred
- SQL experience for debugging and data validation is preferred
- Familiarity with OpenAPI/Swagger is preferred
- Experience with AWS Step Functions, container autoscaling, or Terraform is preferred
- Prior on-call or production-support experience is preferred
