Base Salary

Responsibilities
- Architect systems and technical strategy for the next three to five years of fraud and abuse mitigation.
- Define architectural standards and reusable patterns for risk-decisioning services across Adobe.
- Build foundational capabilities for event-driven and continuously reasoning risk intelligence.
- Advance the use of AI and ML to improve fraud detection and counter AI-powered attacks.
- Communicate architectural direction through design documents, white papers, technical talks, and cross-organization design reviews.
- Influence engineering direction across teams and business units without formal authority.
- Mentor senior and staff engineers and develop future technical leaders.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or advanced degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent experience; a Master’s degree is preferred.
- 12+ years of experience architecting high-scale, highly performant platforms and leading the technical teams that build them.
- Deep understanding of AI and ML for fraud detection and defense against AI-powered attacks.
- Deep expertise in distributed systems and databases, including SQL, NoSQL, and DynamoDB-class stores.
- Experience architecting systems with multi-year relevance rather than addressing only immediate scaling or reliability issues.
- Experience with data lakes and large-scale data platforms such as Databricks or Spark.
- Proven ability to influence technical direction across teams and business units without formal authority.
- Track record of publishing or presenting technical work that shaped how others build.
- Experience with graph databases or identity and relationship graphs applied to fraud or abuse detection is preferred.
- Device fingerprinting, AI agent design, payments, commerce, fraud, and relevant regulatory or compliance experience are preferred.
