Base Salary

Responsibilities

  • Analyze requirements allocated to computer software configuration items.
  • Design, develop, maintain, and execute automated software tests for embedded software qualification.
  • Develop and execute automated software installation, integration, and acceptance test procedures.
  • Diagnose and identify root causes of issues found during installation, integration, acceptance testing, and operational events.
  • Plan and execute integration of separate software components into a single system.
  • Create detailed technical documentation and collaborate with systems engineers, hardware designers, developers, integration/test engineers, and program leadership.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a STEM discipline and 5 years of related engineering experience, or a master’s degree and 3 years, or a PhD and 1 year.
  • Professional experience with Agile Framework, the full software development life cycle, and object-oriented programming using C/C++, C#, or Java together with Python.
  • Professional experience with software change control, change management, and CI/CD tools such as Atlassian tool suite, GitHub, GitLab, or Jenkins.
  • Professional experience with testing methodologies, test frameworks, and automated testing tools such as GoogleTest, TestComplete, Cucumber, Atlas, Eggplant Automation, Unit Test Factory, ATF, or Robot.
  • Experience developing, integrating, or testing multithreaded software for flight-critical, safety-critical, medical, or mission-critical applications.
  • Experience architecting, designing, modeling, implementing, maintaining, integrating, debugging, verifying, and qualifying safety-critical embedded real-time or command-and-control software.
  • Experience with real-time operating systems such as VxWorks, Integrity, or Real-Time Embedded Linux.
  • Active U.S. Government Secret Clearance and ability to collaborate across engineering and program teams.
  • Preferred qualifications include a degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or Electrical Engineering; leadership, teamwork, organizational, time-management, and communication skills; and experience with DOORS, software requirements specification testing, simulators, Python, MATLAB, JavaScript, QSA/QT, or Bash.

Benefits

  • Primary base salary range is $98,400.00-$171,000.00 annually.
  • Benefits include health insurance, life and disability insurance, a savings plan, company-paid holidays, and paid time off.
  • Relocation assistance may be available.
  • The position is on site in San Diego, California, or Grand Forks, North Dakota, with a partial hybrid schedule.
  • The role requires approximately 10% travel and an active Secret clearance at start.
  • The opportunity is contingent on program funding, with start dates determined after funding confirmation.
