Base Salary
$85k - $97k/yr
Responsibilities
- Perform system analysis, requirements gathering, and technical design for Mainframe applications.
- Develop, enhance, maintain, and support applications using COBOL, JCL, DB2, and VSAM.
- Analyze Mainframe batch applications, job streams, business processes, application dependencies, interfaces, data flows, schedules, and business rules.
- Perform impact analysis and support application rationalization, modernization, migration, and legacy-application decommissioning.
- Participate in transforming COBOL-DB2 applications into Java applications on AWS.
- Use Claude-assisted code transformation tools for code analysis, conversion, refactoring, and documentation.
- Execute unit and integration testing, support UAT, validate functional equivalence, participate in deployments, and perform Post Verification Testing.
- Provide production support, troubleshooting, periodic testing, and research support.
- Collaborate with stakeholders and cross-functional teams, maintain project documentation, and use JIRA for work management.
Requirements
- Experience with Mainframe application development and support using COBOL, JCL, DB2, and VSAM.
- Experience with Java, AWS, Mainframe modernization, COBOL-to-Java migration, legacy application assessment, batch analysis, impact analysis, dependency mapping, and application rationalization.
- Knowledge of unit testing, integration testing, production support, troubleshooting, and technical design.
- Ability to work with Claude-assisted code transformation tools.
- Ability to collaborate in an Agile environment and work across different IST shifts based on project requirements.

- Base compensation is listed at $85,000-$96,655 per year.
