Base Salary

Responsibilities
- Establish simulation requirements for hardware-in-the-loop platforms.
- Select or design interface hardware that simulates spacecraft actuators, sensors, payloads, and other components.
- Develop simulation software models and interfaces to digital, analog, serial, and SpaceWire simulation hardware.
- Define simulation testbed harnessing based on flight harnesses and simulation requirements.
- Collaborate with hardware engineers to design, build, and test simulation platforms.
- Implement software control of simulation platform test equipment.
- Develop and execute simulation certification and closed-loop testing.
- Integrate components and flight software with simulation platforms.
- Use oscilloscopes, breakout boxes, multimeters, and interface analyzers for debugging.
- Prepare design documentation, analyses, test results, and presentation materials.
- Collaborate across programs, teams, and organizational levels.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Computer Engineering or another related STEM discipline plus at least two years of related engineering experience, or a master’s degree in a related engineering or STEM discipline.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government Top Secret clearance with SCI access; U.S. citizenship is required.
- Experience with C/C++, Python, and Windows/Linux scripting.
- Understanding of software development processes and continuous integration.
- Experience with Subversion and Git or similar revision control tools.
- Ability to document technical and programmatic status clearly and work effectively in small teams.
- Preferred experience includes current TS/SCI clearance, spacecraft command and control, mission planning, space situational awareness, hardware interfacing, integration and test, controls, embedded systems, real-time operating systems, avionics, and closed-loop simulations.
- Preferred experience includes Jenkins, Jira, Bitbucket, DevSecOps tools, National Instruments data acquisition cards and software, and digital, analog, RS-422, UART, MIL-STD-1553, and SpaceWire interfaces.
- Preferred experience includes leading or working with cross-departmental teams and awareness of earned value management.
