Base Salary

$136k - $232k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Administer, integrate, troubleshoot, and performance-tune Linux platforms, networking, file systems, storage, and production infrastructure.
  • Automate installation, validation, monitoring, configuration management, cluster provisioning, and deployment workflows using Python, Bash, Ansible, and related tools.
  • Deploy, administer, and troubleshoot Kubernetes, containerized applications, and distributed computing environments.
  • Evaluate and qualify enterprise server platforms, including BIOS, BMC/IPMI firmware, hardware health, system configurations, GPUs, and hardware-software dependencies.
  • Support NVIDIA GPU, CUDA, RDMA, RoCE, InfiniBand, and high-speed Ethernet environments for compute-intensive workloads.
  • Implement and use observability, monitoring, and cluster health management frameworks.
  • Support secure and air-gapped production environments, platform upgrades, customer deployments, installations, and critical issue resolution.
  • Perform root cause analysis across software, infrastructure, networking, operating systems, GPUs, and hardware, collaborating with vendors and cross-functional engineering and customer teams.
  • Travel domestically and internationally for platform qualification, deployment, installation, and customer support activities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • At least 2 years of experience in Linux system administration, infrastructure engineering, platform engineering, or deployment engineering.
  • Strong knowledge of Linux operating systems, system services, package management, software installation, networking, file systems, storage, and fault isolation.
  • Experience with Python, Bash, Ansible, infrastructure automation, cluster provisioning, configuration management, and Linux-based software deployment.
  • Familiarity with server hardware, operating system deployment, hardware-software dependencies, and platform integration.
  • Knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, routing, switching, and network diagnostics.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, problem-solving, and root-cause analysis skills.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively across software, systems, hardware, field, vendor, and customer teams.
  • Willingness to travel domestically and internationally for deployments, installations, upgrades, and customer concerns.
  • Preferred experience includes Kubernetes, containerized applications, distributed computing, Linux device drivers, kernel modules, NVIDIA GPUs, CUDA, Mellanox/NVIDIA networking, RDMA, RoCE, InfiniBand, Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, OpenTelemetry, Git, Helm, Infrastructure-as-Code, CI/CD pipelines, and secure or air-gapped production environments.
