Responsibilities
- Define and own architecture and technical strategy for complex AI-native enterprise applications.
- Govern delivery across multiple high-impact, high-risk programs aligned with customer, strategic, and financial objectives.
- Embed directly in customer projects and cross-functional delivery teams to understand business and technical challenges.
- Resolve enterprise-scale technical risks, trade-offs, and delivery escalations.
- Advance AI-assisted engineering approaches and influence SAP’s technology roadmap.
- Represent SAP with senior customers, partners, and internal stakeholders.
- Establish technical vision, standards, and guidance across application engineering initiatives.
- Mentor and enable senior engineers and experts while fostering innovation and knowledge sharing.
Requirements
- 8+ years of experience in AI-native application or software engineering across enterprise architectures and platforms.
- Proven experience leading complex, high-impact programs and influencing technical direction beyond individual projects.
- Experience shaping and applying agentic AI systems that operate autonomously within defined boundaries and deliver business outcomes.
- Advanced knowledge of large language models, RAG architectures, vector databases, agentic systems, and ML-driven architectures.
- Proficiency with Python AI/ML libraries and frameworks, data pipelines, MLOps, and agent-driven engineering practices.
- Ability to advise senior and executive stakeholders on strategic technical decisions and trade-offs.
- Recognition as a trusted technical authority or thought leader in application engineering.
- Strong leadership, communication, mentoring, customer focus, and ability to work in complex and ambiguous environments.
- Ability to leverage AI in daily workflows through thoughtful context design and system integration.
