Responsibilities

  • Create end-to-end test strategies and test plans for cloud-based networking applications and services.
  • Plan, develop, execute, and automate functional, integration, performance, scale, and load test suites.
  • Automate features from end to end across APIs and graphical user interfaces.
  • Perform API testing covering functional, security, scale, and performance aspects.
  • Develop and maintain UI automation using Selenium, Playwright, Robot Framework, and Python.
  • Review automation code written by other team members and provide feedback.
  • Review customer deployments and customer-reported issues, addressing gaps in test coverage.
  • Collaborate with Product Owners, Development, CloudOps, and other teams.
  • Test wired networking protocols and enterprise wired and wireless networks.
  • Use performance testing and monitoring tools such as JMeter and Locust.
  • Debug products based on microservices-oriented architectures and use monitoring tools such as Grafana and Prometheus.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related technical field.
  • 3 to 12 years of experience in the Network Management or Orchestration domain.
  • 8 to 12 years of software QA experience is listed for the position.
  • Experience testing cloud-based applications and cloud environments such as AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure.
  • Experience with Kubernetes, Docker, clustering solutions, virtualization, and hypervisors such as ESX and Hyper-V.
  • Hands-on programming experience with Java, Python, Robot Framework, Perl, Go, or Tcl/Tk.
  • Experience testing VLAN, IP, STP, TCP, UDP, VRRP, OSPF, BGP, MPLS, IS-IS, and SPBM protocols.
  • Experience with security concepts and protocols including AAA, 802.1X, captive portals, VPNs, firewalls, and SSL.
  • Experience with Selenium or Playwright for UI test automation and API automation and contract testing using mocks.
  • Experience with network testing tools such as Wireshark, Ethereal, or JMeter.
  • Proficiency with Linux or Unix operating systems.
  • Experience with Git and GitHub version control systems.
  • Comfort working with PostgreSQL, Redis, Ignite, and other SQL, NoSQL, or in-memory databases.
  • Good debugging, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Experience or exposure to artificial intelligence, machine learning, and related tools is preferred.
