Base Salary
$109k - $147k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design and implement new capabilities for Verisign’s ATLAS platform.
- Develop horizontally scalable, high-performance, and highly available systems.
- Automate infrastructure and platform engineering workflows.
- Deploy software using CI/CD principles.
- Produce quality code and follow practices including automated testing and code reviews.
- Work collaboratively to mitigate technical risks and ensure quality.
- Continuously improve productivity, engineering practices, and outcomes.
Requirements
- At least five years of relevant software development experience.
- At least two years of development experience in a system-level programming language.
- Solid understanding of C, C++, or Rust.
- Foundation in computer science fundamentals, including data structures, algorithms, operating systems, and object-oriented design.
- Understanding of Jenkins, Groovy, and GitHub in the context of CI/CD.
- Experience with or strong willingness to learn Terraform, Ansible, Puppet, and OpenStack.
- Proficiency with Linux and Python or a similar scripting language.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
- Strong problem-solving, troubleshooting, collaboration, design, code quality, and software delivery skills.
- Experience working on an Agile software development team.
- Familiarity with DNS at the protocol level is a bonus.
- Exposure to Docker, Kubernetes, Python Behave, or Cucumber is a bonus.
