Base Salary
$201k - $251k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design and implement scalable distributed architectures for personalized healthcare delivery.
- Own full-stack technical initiatives involving AI/ML-powered health guidance tools and EMR, billing, and scheduling integrations.
- Define engineering standards, architectural patterns, and best practices.
- Mentor engineers through code reviews, design guidance, and knowledge sharing.
- Partner with product, clinical, and data teams to translate healthcare requirements into technical solutions.
- Drive build-versus-buy decisions, technology selection, and infrastructure investments.
Requirements
- 7+ years of software engineering experience, including 2+ years in a Staff or Principal role.
- Proven experience designing and building distributed systems at scale with strong system design judgment.
- Strong full-stack capabilities and expertise in Python, TypeScript, Go, or similar backend technologies, plus AWS.
- Experience architecting systems in regulated industries with security, compliance, and data privacy considerations.
- Demonstrated ability to mentor engineers and improve team technical capabilities.
- Excellent communication skills for explaining complex technical concepts to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Preferred: healthcare technology experience, including EMR integrations, HL7/FHIR standards, or telehealth platforms.
- Preferred: experience building AI agents or Model Context Protocol integrations, high-growth startup experience, and familiarity with Next.js and CQRS.
