Responsibilities
- Develop and evaluate safety-critical Orion GN&C flight software.
- Use MATLAB, Simulink, Stateflow, and Autocode to update Orion GN&C flight software.
- Use Python and C/C++ to analyze and test Orion GN&C flight software.
- Develop flight-software processes and procedures.
- Perform deep-dive analyses of flight and simulation software.
- Support software integration and build management and perform other assigned duties.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering with experience in the field or a related area.
- Significant experience with MATLAB, including Simulink, Stateflow, and Autocode.
- Proficiency with C/C++ and Python.
- Significant knowledge of guidance, navigation, and control (GN&C).
- Experience in GN&C software development, software process and procedure development, or software integration and build management.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work with NASA civil servants and contractor employees.
- Preferred: bachelor’s degree in engineering and a minimum of five years of related experience.
- Preferred: experience with TRICK/JEOD simulation architecture, safety- and flight-critical embedded software, object-oriented software development, and source-code control.
