Responsibilities
- Lead development and enhancement of Cohere’s reusable, scalable, and high-performance data and AI platforms.
- Design platform components and reusable integration patterns that reduce custom development and support integrations across healthcare systems, payors, and third-party services.
- Provide technical leadership throughout the development lifecycle for maintainable and extensible platform components.
- Collaborate with Integration Operations, product teams, and solutions architects to align platform capabilities with business and integration requirements.
- Ensure platform components and integrations meet healthcare security, privacy, and industry best-practice requirements.
- Identify and resolve platform issues while maintaining high availability, minimal downtime, and an efficient integration experience.
- Mentor junior engineers and promote robust, scalable platform development and design practices.
- Contribute to sprint planning, execution, and retrospectives.
Requirements
- 9+ years of software development lifecycle experience, including significant experience building and maintaining scalable data and AI platforms.
- Deep experience designing and building platforms used by data and ML engineering, including data processing, data warehousing, and integrated ML tooling.
- Proven expertise designing and operating large-scale data infrastructure in cloud-based, distributed environments.
- Knowledge of healthcare industry standards and experience ensuring integrations comply with relevant regulations while meeting performance and scalability needs.
- Experience with version control, unit testing, CI/CD practices, performance monitoring, and high-availability platform operations.
- Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills across product, operations, and architecture teams.
