Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, configure, and maintain scalable solutions on the ServiceNow platform.
  • Develop custom applications, workflows, integrations, and reusable components using ServiceNow development capabilities and JavaScript.
  • Configure and extend ServiceNow applications including ITSM, ITOM, ITAM, HRSD, CSM, SPM, IRM, and custom applications.
  • Develop and maintain REST and SOAP integrations with internal and third-party enterprise systems.
  • Design service catalog offerings, workflows, record producers, and self-service experiences using Employee Center, Service Portal, and UI Builder.
  • Build and support Workspace experiences, Next Experience components, and mobile capabilities.
  • Design and maintain data models, CMDB structures, and CSDM relationships where applicable.
  • Implement platform security using ACLs, application scoping, roles, and security best practices.
  • Collaborate on scalable, maintainable, and upgrade-friendly platform solutions.
  • Translate business requirements into technical designs and implementation plans.
  • Perform code reviews, troubleshoot platform issues, optimize performance, and support testing and deployment.
  • Use source control, update set management, CI/CD pipelines, and DevOps practices for application lifecycle management.
  • Lead technical discussions, client workshops, and design sessions.
  • Produce technical documentation, development standards, and implementation artifacts.
  • Mentor junior developers and improve development processes and coding standards.

Requirements

  • At least 5 years of professional software development or platform engineering experience with hands-on ServiceNow development experience.
  • Experience designing, developing, and implementing enterprise solutions on the ServiceNow platform.
  • Strong understanding of ServiceNow architecture, platform capabilities, and application development best practices.
  • Experience working within Agile delivery methodologies.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, communication, and consulting skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • ServiceNow Certified System Administrator certification.
  • Preferred qualifications include strong JavaScript and ServiceNow scripting API expertise.
  • Preferred qualifications include experience with Flow Designer, IntegrationHub, App Engine Studio, Service Portal, UI Builder, and Workspace development.
  • Additional preferred certifications include ServiceNow Certified Application Developer, ServiceNow Certified Implementation Specialist, and ITIL Foundation.
  • Experience with REST/SOAP integrations and API-based solutions is preferred.
  • Knowledge of platform security, application scoping, ACLs, and governance best practices is preferred.
  • Experience with CMDB, CSDM, Discovery, or Service Mapping is preferred.
  • Familiarity with source control, Git, update sets, CI/CD, and DevOps practices is preferred.
  • Understanding of ITIL concepts and enterprise service management processes is preferred.
  • Experience across multiple ServiceNow product areas and the ability to lead solution design while mentoring developers are highly desirable.
