Responsibilities
- Own the technical direction and end-to-end pipeline for computer vision, real-time tracking, motion recognition, and metric calculation.
- Lead and mentor a small team of one to two engineers while remaining deeply hands-on.
- Train, optimize, and deploy neural networks for real-time segmentation and classification on embedded hardware and edge accelerators.
- Extend tracking and motion recognition systems to support new movements and analysis types.
- Analyze tracking accuracy, build quality metrics, and drive reliability improvements across the pipeline.
- Set priorities, review designs, drive execution, and collaborate with embedded platform and applications teams.
Requirements
- 8+ years of software engineering experience with significant depth in complex systems engineering.
- Demonstrated experience shipping production systems and owning them end to end.
- Strong proficiency in Python and C/C++, including higher-level applications and performance-critical native code.
- Ability to scope, prototype, ship, and measure solutions to ambiguous problems.
- Experience mentoring engineers, setting technical direction, or leading cross-team initiatives.
- Preferred experience in computer vision and machine learning; tracking mathematics including 3D geometry, state estimation, filtering, and optimization; depth cameras and 3D perception; embedded Linux; Docker on ARM; and systems-level debugging.
