Responsibilities
- Own the technical expansion strategy for a portfolio of telecommunications and financial services customers in Malaysia.
- Identify new workloads, use cases, and lines of business for Snowflake adoption and consumption growth.
- Present Snowflake technology and vision to technical teams, executives, and business stakeholders.
- Lead technical discovery sessions and create target-state architectures, reference patterns, and roadmaps.
- Design and deliver customer-specific demos, technical narratives, proofs of concept, and pilots.
- Advise customers on data modeling, performance optimization, cost governance, security, operations, migration, and implementation architecture.
- Coordinate specialists, professional services, partners, Sales, Customer Success, Product, and Engineering resources.
- Develop industry-specific solutions, demos, technical content, reference architectures, playbooks, and presentations.
- Represent Snowflake at customer workshops, executive briefings, industry events, and community meetups.
- Mentor junior solution engineers and contribute to regional solution engineering best practices.
Requirements
- At least 7 years of experience in a customer-facing technical role such as Solutions Engineer, Pre-Sales Architect, or Data Architect in the data, analytics, or cloud space.
- Strong hands-on expertise with cloud data platforms, data warehousing, or big data technologies.
- Proficiency in SQL and experience with a programming language commonly used in data and analytics, such as Python.
- Ability to design and communicate architectures for data integration, warehousing, business intelligence, analytics, data science, and machine learning workloads.
- Industry experience or strong exposure to financial services and/or telecommunications organizations.
- Demonstrated success driving technical wins and expansion in enterprise accounts, preferably in subscription or consumption-based models.
- Strong communication and presentation skills with technical teams and senior business or IT executives.
- Ability to manage multiple complex opportunities independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Based in Malaysia with the ability to travel within the region as needed.
- Preferred experience with Snowflake or similar cloud-native data platforms, including ingestion, transformation, performance tuning, cost governance, security, data masking, and governance.
- Familiarity with AWS, Azure, or GCP and their data and analytics ecosystems.
- Understanding of FSI and Telco regulatory and compliance requirements, including data residency, Bank Negara Malaysia guidelines, and industry standards.
- Experience with Tableau, Power BI, Looker, and/or data science and machine learning frameworks.
- Prior field pre-sales experience at a data platform, cloud provider, or analytics/AI company.
