Base Salary
$113k - $162k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain high-quality web applications for voice calling, chat, and real-time notifications.
- Build clean, maintainable, and testable JavaScript applications using modern frameworks and programming techniques.
- Collaborate with developers, product managers, and UX/UI designers to define, design, and ship features.
- Work with real-time communication protocols such as WebRTC and SIP.
- Optimize performance, audio quality, latency, and bandwidth usage for voice and messaging functionality.
- Troubleshoot and debug performance problems, crashes, and other bugs.
- Own problems and solutions end to end from ideation through deployment.
- Use experimentation and data-driven decision-making to improve customer experiences.
- Deploy features to millions of users.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience developing web applications.
- Professional experience with JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.
- Deep understanding of web frameworks including React and Marionette.
- Knowledge of desktop notifications and managing network connections for real-time updates.
- Familiarity with modern web development tools, Instruments, and debugging processes.
- Understanding of UX principles and the ability to design simple solutions to complex problems.
- Experience with automated unit, UI, and integration testing frameworks.
- Experience with WebRTC, SIP, or similar real-time communication technologies is preferred.
