Responsibilities
- Develop and improve internal applications used to execute investment strategies, manage risk, and support clients.
- Apply analytical methods to large datasets to help manage risk and identify investment opportunities.
- Build tools and platforms that help portfolio managers analyze and test data.
- Streamline trade-floor processes, trade execution, and transaction-cost management.
- Collaborate with engineers, developers, investment professionals, analytics teams, and business stakeholders.
Requirements
- Be an undergraduate currently pursuing a degree with an expected graduation date between December 2027 and June 2028.
- Be able to begin full-time employment at a PIMCO office between January 2028 and August 2028.
- Be on track to achieve at least a 2.1 degree or equivalent from an accredited college or university.
- Be business proficient in English.
- Demonstrate strong programming skills such as Python, Java, C#, or C++.
- Have SQL, RDBMS, and data warehouse skills or experience.
- Demonstrate problem-solving ability, curiosity, ownership, collaboration, and the ability to explain technical concepts to stakeholders.
- Have experience using emerging technologies and AI tools in work or school projects.
