Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain C++ software applications and reusable components for distributed systems.
- Develop user-space software in Linux-based environments and implement IPC and other distributed-system communication mechanisms.
- Own software development from implementation through developer-level verification before delivery to SQA.
- Develop and execute unit, integration, system, and regression tests, including automated testing and continuous software validation.
- Investigate customer-reported issues through reproduction, testing, debugging, root-cause analysis, fixes, and validation.
- Apply maintainable architecture, modular design, code reviews, and other software engineering best practices.
- Collaborate with cross-functional and global engineering teams to deliver software and resolve technical issues.
Requirements
- Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field.
- 4–9 years of software development experience.
- Hands-on experience with C++ and object-oriented programming.
- Experience with software debugging, troubleshooting, root-cause analysis, and software testing.
- Experience developing applications in Windows or Linux environments and willingness to work in a Linux-based environment.
- Understanding of software engineering principles, software architecture, and maintainable software design.
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, written English, verbal English, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
- Preferred: experience with distributed systems, multithreaded programming, process management, IPC, Linux user-space development, performance analysis, automated testing, customer or field escalations, Docker, Kubernetes, or semiconductor and other complex software-intensive industries.
