Base Salary
$162k - $439k/yr
Responsibilities
- Evaluate security risks across MongoDB product architecture, including compute, network, and storage.
- Form, communicate, and defend independent security and architecture opinions, then help teams align and execute.
- Build a working community of senior individual contributors across security operations, product security, and enterprise security.
- Lead high-stakes, time-boxed cross-functional engagements such as M&A security due diligence and partner risk assessments.
- Collaborate on identity and permission models for an autonomous agent platform and automated vulnerability detection, reproduction, and remediation.
- Mentor senior engineers and remain accountable for outcomes despite incomplete information.
Requirements
- 12+ years of experience in security engineering, software engineering, or a related discipline, including senior individual-contributor or technical-lead experience.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Deep technical expertise in security and working depth across compute, network, and storage architecture.
- Demonstrated judgment in forming and defending technical positions and knowing when to commit.
- Experience influencing management and cross-functional partners without formal authority.
- Experience owning ambiguous, deadline-driven work such as M&A diligence or partner risk reviews.
- Interest in mentoring and connecting senior engineers without needing a management title.
