Base Salary

$152k - $225k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical guidance and direction to business and technical teams, contractors, and vendors.
  • Develop secure, high-quality production code and review and debug code written by others.
  • Drive governed adoption of approved AI-assisted engineering practices for code review, refactoring, test acceleration, release readiness, and incident analysis.
  • Establish validation standards for secure coding, peer review, automated testing, and AI-generated outputs.
  • Use Software Development Life Cycle tooling, AI-assisted development capabilities, and automation to improve engineering outcomes at scale.
  • Influence product design, application functionality, technical operations, and engineering processes.
  • Serve as a function-wide subject matter expert and advocate for firmwide engineering frameworks, tools, and practices.
  • Coach senior engineers and leads on compliant and responsible AI-assisted engineering usage.

Requirements

  • Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts and 5+ years of applied experience.
  • Hands-on experience with system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.
  • Advanced proficiency in one or more programming languages.
  • Experience leading the effective use of enterprise-authorized AI-assisted software development tools.
  • Understanding of responsible AI use, data sensitivity, secure input and output handling, resiliency, and security expectations.
  • Ability to independently solve design and functionality problems with little to no oversight.
  • Practical cloud-native experience.
