Responsibilities
- Design and develop AWS SDK-based upload and orchestration engines for large-scale historic data transfers to S3.
- Integrate TIFF image packaging and transfer with Swift, XML, JSON, and metadata payloads.
- Build Java and Python backend APIs connecting extraction, metadata generation, reconciliation, and S3 upload workflows.
- Build and maintain a React-based self-service UI for triggering, scheduling, and monitoring batch extraction jobs.
- Configure and support Jenkins CI/CD pipelines and Docker/Kubernetes deployments for extraction and UI services.
- Implement exception handling and re-trigger logic for failed or partial uploads in coordination with Data Quality Engineers.
- Optimize production-scale batch execution for performance and scalability.
- Develop internal administration or monitoring interfaces and support metadata generation and reconciliation processes.
Requirements
- At least 4 to 6 years of full-stack software development experience.
- Advanced Java proficiency for backend and microservices development.
- Strong Python experience for API and pipeline integration.
- Expertise with React for interactive user interfaces.
- In-depth knowledge of Spring Core and Spring Boot.
- Experience with Hibernate, Oracle RDBMS, and MySQL.
- Advanced SQL skills for data extraction and manipulation.
- Practical Docker and Kubernetes experience.
- Hands-on AWS SDK and S3 experience for large-volume object uploads.
- Jenkins experience for CI/CD automation.
- Experience with image handling and TIFF/BLOB formats.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a closely related discipline.
- AWS Developer or AWS Certified DevOps Engineer certification is preferred.
- Java SE/EE or Spring Framework certification is preferred.
