Responsibilities

  • Monitor production availability and overall system health for Experian cloud SaaS platforms.
  • Identify performance bottlenecks, service issues, failure modes, and areas for improvement.
  • Develop monitoring and alerting that detects symptoms rather than only outages.
  • Triage incidents, identify owners, coordinate incident response, and restore service availability.
  • Investigate and resolve root causes while replacing manual processes with sustainable solutions.
  • Partner with development teams on testing, release procedures, scalability, resilience, and maintainable solutions.
  • Write complex queries using various tools and maintain systems across edge cases and specific implementations.
  • Collaborate with global and regional SRE teams, developers, security teams, architects, and third parties.
  • Participate in daytime weekend on-call duty approximately once a month or less.

Requirements

  • At least 1 year of experience as a Site Reliability Engineer.
  • Excellent written and verbal English fluency for collaboration with colleagues globally.
  • Experience supporting complex, highly scaled production systems.
  • Understanding of cloud technologies, cloud-native application design, scalability, and resilience.
  • Understanding of Kubernetes, infrastructure as code, and high-availability principles.
  • Linux, networking, troubleshooting, monitoring, and proactive issue-prediction knowledge.
  • Experience with incident management, coordination, and blameless post-incident reviews.
  • Ability to adapt quickly to new tools, frameworks, and methodologies through hands-on learning.
  • Ability to work across geographic, team, language, and cultural boundaries.
