Base Salary
$170k - $400k/yr
Responsibilities
- Build the core runtime for Hark’s AI agent, including orchestration, tool execution, memory retrieval, streaming, and reliability systems.
- Own features end-to-end from prototyping with model researchers through production deployment and iteration.
- Architect platform primitives such as agent runtimes, execution sandboxes, memory APIs, and streaming pipelines.
- Instrument and evaluate the product, write evaluations, track quality regressions, and feed signals into model and product improvements.
- Work across the stack as required by the problem.
Requirements
- Strong systems engineering fundamentals, including API design, reliable infrastructure, performance, concurrency, and failure-mode analysis.
- Experience building production systems that real users depend on at scale.
- Experience building with LLMs and understanding the reliability challenges of agentic systems.
- Ability to work with ambiguity, iterate quickly, and improve systems based on learning.
- Strong communication and cross-team collaboration skills.
- At least 5 years of relevant software engineering experience.
- Preferred experience includes work at a fast-growing AI or infrastructure-focused company, agent frameworks, streaming architectures, execution sandboxes, memory systems, or tool integration protocols.

- US base salary range of $170,000–$400,000 annually.
