Base Salary
$92k - $130k/yr
Responsibilities
- Automate and orchestrate SaaS platforms and technical solutions across the R&D organization.
- Lead and contribute to AWS development, maintenance, automation, and orchestration for application, website, data, network, security, monitoring, and platform services.
- Guide product developers as part of the Site Reliability Engineering team.
- Define and enforce source-control structures, branching strategies, CI/CD patterns, and platform best practices.
- Enhance platform services using Terraform, Ansible, Git, Artifactory, Jenkins, and Packer.
- Define, build, and enhance observability patterns and platforms using OTEL and other tooling.
- Promote consistent local developer environments and production build practices.
- Participate in incident management, root-cause analysis, and an after-hours tier-4 production support rotation.
- Collaborate with architects and product development teams within Agile processes and use Jira to manage stories and escalated technical issues.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- At least 4 years of experience developing production applications or automated Infrastructure-as-Code deployment pipelines in a public cloud environment.
- At least 4 years of cloud experience, DevOps practices, platform engineering, server administration, and scripting or development languages.
- At least 4 years of experience with configuration-management tools.
- Expert-level experience with logging and observability solutions.
- At least 3 years of containerization experience.
- Preferred qualifications include a four-year technical degree or military technologist experience, 5+ years in software development, 2+ years with Agile methodology and SRE practices, and relevant AWS certifications.
