Mobile Technical Lead

- Define and maintain technical architecture, engineering standards, reusable patterns, and development guardrails for React Native applications on iOS and Android.
- Provide technical direction, review pull requests, resolve complex engineering challenges, mentor engineers, and contribute directly to strategically important mobile development.
- Guide component design, state management, navigation, error handling, offline behavior, API integration, identity integration, and native-platform releases.
- Lead technical design discussions, document decisions, communicate trade-offs, and align mobile engineering with enterprise architecture and product strategy.
- Lead resolution of complex production incidents and ensure corrective actions inform engineering priorities.
- Oversee mobile authentication, authorization, biometrics, token management, secure storage, vulnerability remediation, dependency governance, and audit support.
- Define mobile testing, accessibility, monitoring, analytics, crash-reporting, feature-flag, phased-rollout, and recovery practices.
- Support backlog refinement, technical estimation, delivery planning, technical recruitment, and collaboration across engineering, product, design, security, and delivery teams.
Requirements
- Strong commercial experience developing and supporting production React Native applications for iOS and Android.
- Previous experience as a Technical Lead, Lead Developer, or Senior Mobile Engineer with technical-leadership responsibilities.
- Advanced JavaScript, TypeScript, and React skills, including hooks, navigation, and state management.
- Experience making architectural decisions and integrating REST or GraphQL APIs.
- Ability to diagnose complex mobile performance, memory, rendering, and platform-specific issues.
- Strong understanding of mobile authentication, secure storage, encryption, and session management.
- Experience with automated testing, CI/CD, Git workflows, and app-store releases.
- Working knowledge of Xcode, Android Studio, CocoaPods, and Gradle.
- Understanding of accessible mobile design and experience mentoring engineers within distributed Agile teams.
- Preferred experience with Swift, Kotlin, Java, Expo, Fastlane, OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect, MFA, Keycloak, mobile observability, remote configuration, shared design systems, regulated industries, and AI-assisted development tools.
