Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor engineering teams through complex reverse-engineering cycles.
- Perform static and dynamic analysis to identify vulnerabilities in hardware-interfacing software and firmware.
- Design exploits to validate privilege-escalation and unauthorized-code-execution risks.
- Architect and implement defenses against advanced persistent threats.
- Build custom frameworks to automate vulnerability identification in low-level codebases.
- Advance security architecture research through ambiguous technical challenges.
- Produce technical reports and communicate findings to internal stakeholders and external partners.
- Conduct hands-on hardware testing and project execution at specialized facilities.
- Provide occasional travel support for on-site project milestones and hardware analysis.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Electrical Engineering, or equivalent experience.
- At least 5 years of professional software or hardware reverse-engineering experience.
- Proficiency in C, C++, and Python for low-level development.
- Expertise in assembly languages such as ARM, MIPS, or x86.
- Experience with IDA Pro, Ghidra, or an equivalent to Binary Ninja.
- Familiarity with firmware security and hardware-software interfaces including I2C, UART, and SPI.
- Ability to lead and mentor junior engineers.
- Curiosity and high self-initiative in a research-heavy environment.
- Active security clearance preferred, or ability to obtain one.
