Responsibilities

  • Lead and mentor engineering teams through complex reverse-engineering cycles.
  • Perform static and dynamic analysis to identify vulnerabilities in hardware-interfacing software and firmware.
  • Design exploits to validate privilege-escalation and unauthorized-code-execution risks.
  • Architect and implement defenses against advanced persistent threats.
  • Build custom frameworks to automate vulnerability identification in low-level codebases.
  • Advance security architecture research through ambiguous technical challenges.
  • Produce technical reports and communicate findings to internal stakeholders and external partners.
  • Conduct hands-on hardware testing and project execution at specialized facilities.
  • Provide occasional travel support for on-site project milestones and hardware analysis.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Electrical Engineering, or equivalent experience.
  • At least 5 years of professional software or hardware reverse-engineering experience.
  • Proficiency in C, C++, and Python for low-level development.
  • Expertise in assembly languages such as ARM, MIPS, or x86.
  • Experience with IDA Pro, Ghidra, or an equivalent to Binary Ninja.
  • Familiarity with firmware security and hardware-software interfaces including I2C, UART, and SPI.
  • Ability to lead and mentor junior engineers.
  • Curiosity and high self-initiative in a research-heavy environment.
  • Active security clearance preferred, or ability to obtain one.
