Base Salary
$65k - $162k/yr
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain cloud service delivery models and architectural frameworks for PaaS, IaaS, SaaS, and DaaS solutions.
- Automate cloud resources using infrastructure as code and DevSecOps practices.
- Assess application cloud readiness and recommend migration, refactoring, and deployment strategies.
- Evaluate public, private, hybrid, cloud-agnostic, and on-premises deployment options.
- Design and implement failure recovery, business continuity, disaster recovery, high availability, and resilient cloud architectures.
- Drive cloud cost optimization through right-sizing, licensing analysis, usage monitoring, and benefit analysis.
- Design, develop, and implement cloud-native applications and migrate on-premises applications to cloud platforms.
- Debug and troubleshoot cloud stacks and services across multiple environments.
- Create and maintain documentation for cloud architecture, configurations, and processes.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science, or another related analytical, scientific, or technical discipline.
- At least 4 years of experience with major cloud service providers such as Amazon, Microsoft, Oracle, IBM, or Google.
- Experience with development and deployment on private or public cloud solutions or comparable high-availability environments.
- Experience deploying and managing infrastructure as code using Terraform, CloudFormation, and/or Azure ARM templates.
- Experience implementing and maintaining cloud security best practices.
- Active Top Secret clearance.
- Ability to work full-time on-site at the customer location in Washington, DC.
- Preferred experience with cloud-native applications, microservices, containers, and serverless architectures.
- Preferred familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, cloud monitoring and logging tools, cost management, and FinOps practices.
- Relevant cloud certifications such as AWS Solutions Architect, Azure Solutions Architect, or Google Professional Cloud Architect are preferred.
