Responsibilities

  • Develop software in C, C++, or other selected languages for new products and applications.
  • Design and review software modules and systems supporting new technology or improved functionality.
  • Research fundamental problems and implement appropriate algorithm solutions.
  • Develop 2D/3D graphics and rendering functionality using OpenGL or Vulkan.
  • Write efficient GPU shader algorithms and debug graphics performance and graphical issues.
  • Design and program in multithreaded environments.
  • Develop and debug software on embedded devices.
  • Lead complex software projects and contribute to project feasibility, goals, and product development plans.
  • Provide peer technical assessments and limited mentoring to less experienced Software Engineers.
  • Collaborate with design engineering, electrical engineering, process manufacturers, and software vendors.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer or Software Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related technical field plus at least 5 years of progressive full-time software engineering experience in computer graphics using C or C++.
  • A master’s degree in the same or a related field plus at least 3 years of relevant work experience may substitute for the bachelor’s degree and experience combination.
  • Demonstrated experience with 2D/3D graphics and rendering technologies, including OpenGL or Vulkan.
  • Experience writing efficient GPU shader algorithms and knowledge of GPU architectures and graphics pipelines.
  • Experience serving as a lead software engineer for a complex software project.
  • Experience providing peer technical assessments and mentoring in areas of expertise, new technologies, and software design.
  • Experience with multithreaded programming, product software development, embedded devices, and graphics performance debugging.
