Responsibilities
- Develop and evolve high-performance video processing components using modern C++.
- Process, transcode, and handle professional video for real-time graphics, sports analysis, and media asset management products.
- Identify bottlenecks and bugs, design and implement functionality, and improve performance, reliability, and maintainability.
- Troubleshoot and profile complex software systems.
- Collaborate with colleagues and teams across multiple countries.
- Contribute to technical leadership, mentoring, architectural decisions, and potentially other backend components such as the Vizrt Media Sequencer.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent skills and experience.
- Software engineering experience with modern C++.
- Experience with Python and/or C#, or interest in working with these languages.
- Strong understanding of object-oriented design, data structures, and algorithms.
- Experience troubleshooting, profiling, and improving complex software systems.
- Solid understanding of software engineering principles and best practices.
- Experience with automated testing.
- Experience collaborating across teams, mentoring colleagues, or contributing to technical decision-making.
- Fluency in written and spoken English.
- Good communication and team-working skills.
- Experience with video processing, video codecs, transcoding, or multimedia frameworks is advantageous but not required.
