Base Salary
$232k - $313k/yr
Responsibilities
- Identify and address key security gaps in Databricks infrastructure and services.
- Define the vision and strategy for the security engineering space.
- Represent the security engineering discipline throughout the organization and promote data-driven decision-making.
- Attract top security engineering talent from across the industry.
- Represent Databricks at academic and industry conferences and events.
- Deliver high-quality security solutions for a trusted data analytics and machine learning platform.
Requirements
- At least 9 years of experience in data security or related areas, with expertise in at least two areas such as cryptography, Kubernetes security, web security, governance, privacy, authentication, identity management, access control, key management, inter-service authentication, secure application frameworks, or detection and response.
- At least 15 years of experience building large-scale distributed systems with high availability.
- Experience leading across functional and organizational lines.
- Strong communication skills for explaining and evangelizing data security to senior company leaders.
- An MS or PhD in Computer Science or a related field.
- Experience building systems at large-scale internet companies is highly valued.
