Base Salary
$190k - $235k/yr
Responsibilities
- Develop and optimize deep learning-based visual inspection algorithms for defect detection, anomaly detection, classification, and quality validation.
- Optimize model inference for GPU deployment using CUDA, TensorRT, and related acceleration frameworks.
- Collaborate with Mechanical Engineering on illumination, camera, sensor, lighting, and optics solutions.
- Build and maintain data pipelines for model training, evaluation, and continuous improvement.
- Establish MLOps practices for model versioning, experiment tracking, automated retraining, and production monitoring.
- Harden inspection solutions for production reliability through monitoring, alerting, and graceful degradation.
- Deploy inspection solutions and support customer rollouts with service engineering and field teams.
- Define metrics and benchmarks for inspection accuracy, throughput, and reliability.
Requirements
- MS or PhD in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience with evidence of exceptional ability.
- At least 5 years of relevant computer vision and/or machine learning experience.
- Strong Python programming skills.
- Deep experience with PyTorch for model development and training.
- Experience optimizing machine learning models for production GPU inference.
- Track record of shipping machine learning or computer vision models from prototype to production.
- Experience with image acquisition, camera systems, and sensor integration.
