Base Salary
$201k - $251k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design and ship Command skills for financial workflows such as sending money, managing invoices, and understanding cash flow.
- Design and build reliable, explainable, and safe multi-step agentic workflows.
- Define tool schemas and data contracts with backend teams.
- Own capabilities end to end from system prompts through frontend response components.
- Maintain and evolve prompt architecture, skill loading, session context, policy, and compliance layers.
- Tune model behavior, prompt caching, fallback chains, and streaming patterns.
- Build and expand the evaluation harness, including test cases and scoring rubrics.
- Partner with product and compliance teams to define correctness criteria and tests.
- Own reliability and quality from initial design through post-launch monitoring.
- Mentor engineers and raise the technical bar of the team.
Requirements
- 7 or more years of software engineering experience.
- Deep technical expertise building and scaling LLM-powered applications in production.
- Experience scaling an LLM-powered product and addressing reliability and performance issues in real usage.
- Experience designing agentic systems and multi-step workflows.
- Experience building evaluation infrastructure and meaningful product-quality test cases.
- Understanding of LLM deployment tradeoffs including latency, cost, compliance, and production failure modes.
- Strong opinions about trustworthy AI products and the ability to build toward that standard.
- Comfort with TypeScript and willingness to learn Haskell, or proficiency with both.
- Ability to work across the full stack of an AI product, from system prompts to streaming frontend experiences.
- Track record of mentoring engineers and raising team technical standards.
