Responsibilities
- Lead the end-to-end design and implementation of scalable backend microservices, database schemas, and frontend infrastructure.
- Drive system architecture decisions focused on performance, security, and reliability across AWS cloud environments.
- Develop clean, maintainable, high-performing software across Python, React, and TypeScript stacks.
- Use Claude Code or similar AI-assisted development tools to accelerate delivery while maintaining rigorous code quality, testing, and architectural standards.
- Collaborate with product managers, data analysts, architects, and QA engineers on complex cross-company initiatives.
- Own horizontal group projects and mentor team members on engineering best practices.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of software engineering experience building and scaling complex web applications.
- Extensive hands-on experience with Python, web frameworks, ORMs, system design, and relational or non-relational databases.
- Experience with JavaScript, TypeScript, and React.
- Hands-on experience with AWS and cloud-native application deployment and management.
- Proven power-user experience with Claude Code or similar AI software development tools, with strong code comprehension, review, and architecture discipline.
- Experience designing distributed systems, microservices, and high-throughput data flows.
- A track record of ownership and significant technical impact.
