Base Salary

$148k - $217k/yr

Responsibilities

Design, build, and maintain backend services for device connectivity and telemetry.
Collaborate with firmware, mobile, and product teams to define APIs and workflows.
Deliver scalable systems in a microservices environment on AWS.
Build and own data pipelines for high-throughput streams using Kafka or similar technologies.
Instrument services for observability and reliability.
Participate in on-call rotations and live incident response.
Write clean, testable, performant code and improve CI/CD processes.

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
5+ years of experience building backend services in Java, Go, Python, or similar languages.
Experience with microservices architecture and RESTful API design.
Strong skills with cloud infrastructure, preferably AWS.
Experience with databases, caching layers, and event/streaming systems.
Ability to collaborate across teams and articulate technical tradeoffs.
