Responsibilities
- Design, implement, automate, and support secure, resilient, scalable DevOps platforms and technology services.
- Monitor platform, infrastructure, and application availability, reliability, performance, capacity, and operational resilience.
- Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines with automated testing, deployment validation, security controls, rollback procedures, and release governance.
- Develop infrastructure-as-code and automation solutions using Terraform, Ansible, CloudFormation, and related tools.
- Administer and optimize AWS, Microsoft Azure, GCP, Docker, Kubernetes, Red Hat OpenShift, and Alauda container environments.
- Provide Level 2 application and platform support, including incident diagnosis, root-cause analysis, monitoring, patching, upgrades, and release support.
- Coordinate functional, integration, performance, security, deployment, and operational-readiness testing.
- Implement monitoring, logging, observability, alerting, capacity planning, and continuous service improvement.
- Remediate vulnerabilities, security patches, audit findings, penetration-test observations, and compliance issues across supported environments.
- Support disaster recovery, business continuity, failover, migration readiness, cutover, rollback, post-migration stabilization, and technology transformation programs.
- Maintain technical documentation, runbooks, operational procedures, knowledge bases, and training for engineering and support teams.
- Collaborate with development, application, business, Risk, Compliance, Audit, and Security teams to improve service delivery and governance.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Minimum 5 to 8 years of experience in DevOps Engineering, Site Reliability Engineering, Platform Engineering, Cloud Engineering, Infrastructure Engineering, or related technology disciplines.
- Experience working in banking, financial services, telecommunications, FinTech, insurance, or another highly regulated or critical-infrastructure environment.
- Demonstrated experience managing production-critical, highly available, mission-critical, and customer-facing applications and platforms.
- Expertise with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, CircleCI, or Azure DevOps.
- Deep experience with AWS, GCP, or Azure cloud infrastructure, including networking, storage, compute, and security.
- Proficiency with Terraform, Ansible, or CloudFormation for infrastructure as code.
- Advanced Docker and Kubernetes skills, including deploying and managing containers at scale.
- Strong scripting skills in Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
- Proficiency with Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack, and Datadog or similar monitoring and observability tools.
- Knowledge of DevSecOps, vulnerability scanning, secrets management, secure CI/CD, access governance, audit logging, and data protection.
- Familiarity with microservices, APIs, cloud-native architecture, digital transformation, and modern software development practices.
- Knowledge of PCI-DSS, GDPR, Bank of Ghana security requirements, ISO 27001, or other regulatory compliance frameworks is advantageous.
- Relevant certifications such as AWS Certified DevOps Engineer Professional, Microsoft Azure DevOps Engineer Expert, CKA, CKAD, Terraform Associate, Red Hat OpenShift, Alauda, DevSecOps, or ITIL are preferred.
- Experience with AI-driven automation, predictive maintenance, anomaly detection, or ServiceNow and ITSM integration is advantageous.
- A master's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or Business Technology Management is advantageous.
