Responsibilities
- Build and maintain backend systems and REST APIs serving hundreds of millions of searches per day.
- Develop low-latency, high-throughput transactional services using Java.
- Participate in mission-critical projects and cross-functional product development.
- Write SQL queries for real-time investigation and analysis of application data.
- Understand and modify existing codebases, systems, and business applications.
- Contribute to continuous integration and automated testing.
- Use AI development tooling and support distributed-system optimization for AI/LLM integrations, data pipeline automation, and service orchestration.
- Collaborate respectfully with engineers, business leaders, and cross-functional teammates.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science or a related field.
- 4+ years of experience in software engineering and development.
- Strong coding experience with Core Java.
- Strong SQL query composition and analysis skills.
- Experience with Spring Boot and REST APIs.
- Required experience with microservices.
- Experience developing in the cloud, especially GCP, AWS, or Azure.
- Experience with microservices, Kubernetes, preferably GKE, and Docker.
