Base Salary
$97k - $122k/yr
Responsibilities
- Develop and enhance automated test frameworks, scripts, and tools.
- Use AI best practices to improve automated and manual testing deliverables.
- Design, execute, and maintain functional, regression, performance, and system-level test plans.
- Validate embedded systems, IoT devices, building control platforms, and integrated hardware/software products.
- Analyze test results, troubleshoot defects, and recommend improvements to system reliability and performance.
- Collaborate with software, hardware, systems, and quality engineering teams on product readiness and compliance.
- Document test procedures, results, and technical findings for stakeholders and regulatory needs.
- Mentor and support junior team members in testing, automation, and debugging practices when needed.
Requirements
- At least 4 years of experience applying verification and validation methodologies, including designing and executing test plans for complex software/hardware systems.
- At least 4 years of experience with test automation tools, scripting languages such as Python, and embedded, IoT, or integrated hardware/software products.
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical discipline is valued.
- Experience with pytest, Robot Framework, Selenium, LabVIEW, or similar automation tools is valued.
- Knowledge of UL, IEC, ISO, or other regulatory compliance requirements is valued.
- Familiarity with CAN, Modbus, BACnet, I2C, SPI, and TCP/IP communication protocols is valued.
- Experience testing embedded firmware, electronics, connected devices, or building automation technologies is a plus.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to diagnose complex system behaviors are valued.
