Base Salary
$135k - $216k/yr
Responsibilities
- Build, maintain, and troubleshoot Docker containers for complete software-system delivery to Test & Evaluation testbeds.
- Implement CI/CD pipeline stages for automated builds, unit tests, integration tests, static analysis, and artifact packaging.
- Prepare Monthly Code Drop and quarterly Major Code Revision packages with working containers, execution scripts, and documentation.
- Execute self-test leaderboard runs on internal hardware, validate scoring outputs, diagnose failures, and report results.
- Write and maintain integration tests verifying interoperability among software components from multiple subcontractor teams.
- Enforce coding, documentation, formatting, and version-control standards across incoming contributions.
- Manage dependencies, version pinning, and reproducible build configurations across development and evaluation environments.
- Prepare integration demonstrations and technical materials for design reviews, site visits, and progress reviews.
- Maintain build procedures, interface specifications, known-issue documentation, and troubleshooting guides.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field.
- At least 5 years of software engineering experience with demonstrated proficiency in Python and C/C++.
- Hands-on Docker experience including Dockerfiles, multi-stage builds, dependency management, runtime debugging, and USB or GPU device passthrough.
- Experience building or maintaining CI/CD pipelines with GitLab CI, Jenkins, or GitHub Actions.
- Familiarity with Linux development environments, shell scripting, CMake, Make, pip, and conda.
- Experience writing integration and regression tests for multi-component software systems.
- Working knowledge of Git, branching strategies, merge conflict resolution, and repository hygiene.
- Familiarity with REST API concepts and basic API endpoint testing or implementation.
- Ability to produce clear technical documentation for builds, interfaces, releases, and troubleshooting.
- U.S. citizenship is required.
- Preferred qualifications include government-funded research experience, container security hardening, image scanning, compliance, generative AI/ML frameworks such as PyTorch, GNU Radio and software-defined radio, Ettus USRP hardware, formal verification or formal methods tools such as Z3 and PySR, and experience integrating software from multiple external organizations.
- A master's degree and willingness and ability to obtain a Secret security clearance are preferred.
