Responsibilities
- Own the design, development, and reliability of core platform services for account and identity management.
- Architect and deliver backend services for account onboarding and organization management.
- Lead the transition to a unified accounts platform, defining APIs and data models.
- Ensure reliability, scalability, and code quality for backend systems serving millions of users.
- Drive execution on complex, cross-functional initiatives like Coinbase Workspace.
- Champion engineering standards and mentor engineers to accelerate team velocity.
- Collaborate with product, SRE, security, compliance, and infrastructure teams.
- Identify opportunities for platformization and performance improvements.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of experience in software engineering.
- Experience designing, building, scaling, and maintaining production services.
- Ability to write high-quality, well-tested code.
- Experience architecting solutions to ambiguous problems with significant impact.
- Demonstrated ability to use generative AI tools responsibly in workflows.
- Passion for building an open financial system.
