Responsibilities
- Contribute to the end-to-end development, integration, testing, and deployment of business intelligence, machine learning, and generative AI solutions.
- Develop and optimize data workflows, data pipelines, scalable architectures, and AI-powered software solutions.
- Participate in Agile team ceremonies, user-story refinement, technical discussions, architectural evaluations, code reviews, and sprint delivery.
- Maintain technical documentation including data pipelines, API specifications, runbooks, and workflow diagrams.
- Troubleshoot production issues, analyze root causes, and implement performance and reliability improvements.
- Support operational metrics, performance KPIs, automated testing, CI/CD pipelines, version control, and DevOps workflows.
Requirements
- Currently enrolled in an accredited bachelor’s program in a relevant discipline with at least 75% of coursework completed; related master’s students without prior professional experience are also eligible.
- Available to work at least 30 hours per week and commit to an internship of at least 1 year or 12+ months.
- Working professional English proficiency equivalent to CEFR B2 or higher.
- Experience programming in Python.
- Basic familiarity with relational databases and SQL, including technologies such as MySQL.
- Exposure to cloud computing or modern data environments such as Microsoft Azure, Databricks, or Snowflake.
- Familiarity with VS Code and shell scripting using PowerShell or Bash.
- Preferred: hands-on academic, capstone, hackathon, or internship experience developing data pipelines or machine learning/deep learning models.
- Preferred: experience with Azure services, Azure Data Factory, Databricks, Snowflake, SQL Server Analysis Services, Power BI, Power Apps, or Power Automate.
- Preferred: knowledge of Git, GitHub, GitLab, virtual environments, virtual machines, basic DevOps practices, Scrum, Kanban, or Agile development.
