Base Salary
$208k - $264k/yr
Responsibilities
- Research and develop reinforcement-learning and distillation techniques for trajectory planning.
- Design and deploy multimodal models, VLA models, generative diffusion models, and interactive world models for autonomous vehicle control.
- Own post-training workflows including model distillation, quantization, profiling, optimization, and deployment to vehicle edge hardware.
- Build automated pipelines to ingest, filter, curate, and identify rare and long-tail scenarios from multi-petabyte multi-sensor datasets.
- Develop active-learning strategies and statistical quality metrics for training-data pipelines.
- Collaborate with validation, QA, testing, simulation, hardware, electrical, and firmware teams to evaluate releases and resolve performance bottlenecks.
Requirements
- 4+ years of non-internship professional machine learning engineering experience.
- Deep expertise applying AI Transformers to robotics, physical actuation, or spatiotemporal data.
- Experience designing or training multimodal systems, large-scale VLA models, or generative diffusion models.
- Strong sensor-fusion experience with camera, LiDAR, and radar data.
- Fluency in Python and PyTorch or JAX, with familiarity with C++.
- Experience with model optimization, distillation, edge deployment, profiling, runtime compilation, or custom embedded GPU targets.
- Experience building data-curation pipelines, active-learning workflows, or data-mining architectures for large physical datasets.
- Experience with multi-task learning, BEV frameworks, representation learning, data tokenization, robotics data structures, or spatial frameworks is preferred.
- Familiarity with low-level camera and sensor interfaces and robotics hardware is a plus.
