Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain manual and automated test cases for embedded software.
- Perform functional, regression, performance, stress, and reliability testing.
- Create and execute test plans, test designs, test cases, and test reports.
- Review software requirements, architecture, design specifications, and use cases.
- Identify gaps in use cases and test cases and extend testing protocols as device features evolve.
- Support software verification and validation, software hazard analysis, requirements traceability, code analysis, defect tracking, metrics, configuration management, and software tool validation.
- Participate in product design reviews and Agile/Scrum ceremonies, including sprint planning and retrospectives.
- Work hands-on with development boards and development software to support product development and testing.
- Coordinate test ownership, handoffs, defect-resolution workflows, and collaboration across onshore and offshore QA teams.
Requirements
- Currently enrolled in a bachelor’s degree program in Computer Science, Biomedical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- Preferred prior experience with embedded software testing using both manual and automated approaches.
- Knowledge or proficiency in Python, Jenkins, and test automation tools.
- Understanding of software quality assurance principles, practices, metrics, software development, and testing best practices.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, documentation, and attention-to-detail skills.
- Knowledge of embedded systems, SDLC, test lifecycles, Agile methodologies, CI/CD pipelines, and Git is preferred or beneficial.
- Ability to coordinate daily stand-ups and team syncs using collaboration tools such as Jira, Confluence, Slack, and Teams.
