Responsibilities
- Identify testing risks, clarify acceptance criteria, improve testability, and prioritize coverage based on risk, customer impact, and dependencies.
- Review acceptance criteria and design decisions with developers to identify incomplete scenarios and prevent defects.
- Test APIs, cloud services, web applications, integrations, distributed systems, and end-to-end workflows through automated, exploratory, and targeted manual testing.
- Integrate tests into Azure DevOps pipelines and maintain reliable test environments, test data, and automation tools.
- Analyze logs, metrics, and pipeline failures, communicate quality risks, and reduce flaky tests.
- Investigate production issues, reproduce customer-impacting problems, and validate fixes through regression testing.
- Collaborate with developers to improve observability, logging, security, and production feedback.
- Evolve quality tools and practices, lead complex initiatives, share expertise, and support team members through mentoring.
Requirements
- Significant experience in software quality, test automation, or a similar engineering-focused role.
- Strong programming or scripting skills for developing maintainable automation and integrating it with CI/CD pipelines.
- Experience testing APIs, web applications, integrations, and distributed systems, with a strong understanding of risk-based testing.
- Strong analytical, communication, and collaboration skills for root-cause analysis, customer-impact assessment, quality improvement, and problem solving.
- Ability to lead initiatives, manage priorities, make informed trade-offs, share knowledge, mentor others, and contribute to continuous improvement.
- Fluency in French and English, both verbally and in writing.
- Experience with C#, TypeScript, PowerShell, Bash, test automation frameworks, version control, and code reviews is an asset.
- Experience with Azure, Kubernetes, MongoDB, continuous service deployment, and functional, integration, regression, performance, load, or security testing techniques is an asset.
